Psalms 81 : 10
A powerful press from the Lord to His people to know Him as their God who delivers, redeems, frees from the life of slavery, sickness, sinfulness and curse. A God who has done mighty things in the past and is capable to do more things than not ever imagined.
He wants the Israelites to know that he is their God and rest in Him and not rely on their strenghts and abilities. The God who opened the Red Sea and gave them cool shade and fire at night. The God who gave them their desired food and brought them out of all sorrow and pain is greater to do more things for His people.
God emphasises this when he realises that people have a short memory to rememeber the good things of the Lord. We need to recollect today who we were and what we are today is becvause he came seeking us and not that we seeked him. We need to know Him as our God and saviour the One who can still deliver and who hand has not shortened nor his hears have become deaf. He seeks our fellowship and our praises. He wants to be close to us and would not want to share His glory with other Gods. He is a jealous God and wants our full time for his priases which he duly deserves. If only we could understand his Mind and the plans that he has for us.
Second part of this vers says, Open your mouth wide and i shall fill it. He wants us to do our part of asking him to take full charge of our lives. He wants to enlarge our barns, our visions, our life for him so that he can them declare his mighty acts. Jesus saved the marriage of Cana because he was invited. It says in Rev 3: 20 Behold i knoock at the door. He is knocking at you door will you open it for Him to enter. I am sure he can chnage that area of darkness in your life, that sickness has no chnace in your life, that sorrow will go away if you give your life to Jesus. He is waiting for your fellowship and wants to be your friend in life. Will you surrender your life to Jesus and make him your Captain who will take the ship out of the stormy weather's.

Let us pray together. Lord Jesus, we invite you in our life this day. Be master of my life and change me completely. Remove all the darkness of our life and take full charge of my future which belongs to you. I acknowledge that you and you only will be my God and i shall serve you throughout my life. Forgive me of my shortcomings and grant me your Grace and mercies. I ask in prescious name of our Lord and Jesus Christ. Amen.
