Please pray for my 14 yr. old daughter and I. A week ago, I punished her for disobeying me and she called her father to come and get her. Now she won't come home and her father won't bring her back home. Pray that God restores my family unit. Her father is disobeying a court order but he tells me because she is 14 she can do what she wants and that he doesn't have to obey a court order. He has tried to get custody of her for years and has failed. He is alienating my daughter from me and turning her against me by telling her I'm a bad mother. Telling her that she doesn't have to listen to me or a court order. Please pray. I want my daughter home, I want to keep and maintain custody of her...because I am legitimately concerned that he will further destroy my relationship with my daughter if he keeps her any longer or has full custody. Now that my daughter is 14 yrs. old and just graduated from middle school and just starting high school, it is no surprise that all of a sudden she is acting out like this. I never had these problems with her until that last two weeks. Her father is manipulating her, lying to her and teaching her that her relationship with me isn't important and that she doesn't have to listen to authority (a court order or me). He's doing all of this because he wants custody and control of her. If I wind up back in court I pray that the court will finally see through his tactics and not grant him split or full custody. This is a man that when married to him I had to file a Protection From Abuse Order against him but the courts still gave him shared custody and liberal vistation time. He has filed for full custody twice and lost. One time he has offered to pay me $10,000 if I gave him custody of the children. I am so tired. This kind of stuff has been going on with him for 10 yrs. of marriage now 12 yrs of co-parenting after a divorce. It just pains me that he'll use my daughter and tell her just about anything to get control and custody and to hurt me. He tells me that the courts won't force a 14 yr. old to have a relationship with me and if she doesn't want to come home or be with me then she doesn't have to. She's 14, is she going to continue to do this every time now when I try to enforce rules, run to her father's house and refuse to come home. The both of them will have total control of my household if she comes back or if she stays with him, I won't see her at all because he won't let me see her...all the while he's telling her that I'm a bad mother, that she doesn't have to listen to me, she doesn't have to follow my rules, circumventing my parental authority, disrespecting my parental time with our daughter. I just wish that the courts would finally see him for what he is and what he is doing. I just want peace in my household and to keep and maintain custody.
