I am in no place to tell anyone what to believe, whether you are a woman having an abortion, or a bible-thumper telling everyone how they're going to burn in hell. I think it's pretty easy to see my biases, though, eh?
If you're against murder, why do you eat meat? If you don't like destruction of life, why do you support an industry that makes its millions off of breeding living creatures for the sole purpose of death?
It's funny to hear George Bush talk about stem cell research. During the second Presidential debate, Bush said: "To destroy life to save life is -- it's one of the real ethical dilemmas that we face" (http://www.debates.org/pages/trans2004c.html). But he's doing it in Iraq, and there it's a 'just cause.' When fundamentalists say they respect all life, they really may not be giving that statement too much thought.
