Church Buss is a Wrecked Eyesore

Help! What do we do? Our church bus is over 15 years old. The roof is caved in on one side, the paint is old and faded/rusting, the engine just needed $1,000 in repairs and still overheats, the AC is failing again, and the bus usually gets used only 3 - 4 times per month. The bus was recently stranded for several hours on the side of the interstate with kids going to camp. I was very upset! It is such a broken down eyesore when you see it going down the road, I am truly embarrassed to have our Church name on the side. I know we can't afford a new bus, and don't see the need for a used replacement. How do I get folks to realize that this eyesore is detracting from the mission of the Church and turning away members with kids, since they don't feel the bus is safe to drive anymore. We could easily rent a new bus when needed for a small part of what the maintenance is costing us on this old heap. Help! I feel that I am surrounded with the biggest Penny-Wise, Pound-Foolish folks I have ever encountered in a church of this size (460 members).
